pickGotta saw, when Kaleb got his first name and I got the feeling he'd be a lead someday, I was kinda doubtful. It speaks to the strength of the series that by the time I got here I could understand it, and the strength of this book that it totally works. Less sure about the series' preoccupation with the romantic feelings of teenage girls towards adult men, but you win some and you lose some.

If Kaleb doesn't enjoy the taste of food by the end of the book, I may throw it. Only the most important issues!
pickTwo Psy this time, which is a first. Plus some pretty big things for the world. I remember loving this one the first time I read it. I love it when the tough ones fall, and Kaleb's one of the toughest in this world.

pickThis did take me a bit to get into, but I think it‘s because it‘s the only book in this series I have read. I ended up really enjoying her writing and the world she created. The anithero dark romance was also a guilty pleasure to read. I don‘t think I‘ll read any others of this series, but the sci-fi uninverse is really interesting and I‘d definitely recommend it to people who enjoy the genre.

I still enjoyed this paranormal romance and I do have a weakness for bad boys like Kaleb. Heart of Obsidian is one of the best in the series. Focusing on Kaleb Krychek we find out his secrets and the difficulties of childhood as a powerful cardinal. The relationships in this are incredibly heart felt and I like the way they develop. The romance is beautiful (though only in fiction... he is a bad bad man).
The main arc also progresses exponentially in this one!
