If you've ever found yourself waiting for a call that didn't come, The Man Who Didn't Call by Rosie Walsh is the book for you. Imagine you meet a man, spend six glorious days together, and fall in love. And its mutual: youve never been so certain of anything. So when he leaves for a long-booked holiday and promises to call from the airport, you have no cause to doubt him. But he doesnt call. Your friends tell you to forget him, but you know they're wrong: something must have happened; there must be a reason for his silence. What do you do when you finally discover you're right? That there is a reason -- and that reason is the one thing you didn't share with each other? The truth.

I actually really enjoyed this one. Thought it was going to be another predictable love story but it wasn‘t at all what I expected.
Pleasantly surprised #pick

Awww I loved this one!! Completely not what I expected in terms of where I thought the story was going - it kept me guessing for a while. Good read and I loved the ending 🥰

Wow! Loved this book and got through it so quickly. The characters were well written and the twists in the storyline were excellent. I found it did lose its way slightly but was still a great read.

A fascinating love story. Perfect evening reading.

Complex and I would say mysterious relationships delivered in the manner of detective and letters inside the book. Close to reality story covered.

There was a moment when I had a thought to give up on this book but the plot grasp me again)

After an intensely romantic week together, Sarah and Eddie both declare their love for one another. But then Eddie disappears and makes no contact, and Sarah is left wondering what dark secret he may have...

An easy read but with enough twists and interesting aspects to the plot to make it enjoyable!

Good. It was an interesting concept and even though you thought you knew what was coming it suddenly ripped the story from underneath you and took you on a different way. Loved how misdirection was used to guide the story.

Phew, and breathe!

I thought that this would be a ‘fluffy‘ holiday-type book and, to start with it was. About halfway in I was convinced that I had it all figured out but I soooo didn‘t!

After the ‘big reveal‘ it all became rather tense, there were more twists and turns and I couldn‘t put it down. Highly recommended!

Thanks to #readersfirst for the opportunity to give my honest opinion on this ARC.
