What a lovely little book..
I wasn‘t sure I‘d like the narrative style at first. But a few pages in I was in love with this story and all the characters 💜
There are moments in this book where I feel the world has moved forward so much and I feel so grateful. Then there are moments when I realise nothing has changed at all.. #thewomensroom #femenist #timeforchange
This is an extraordinarily ordinary book. I loved the description and being able to completely be immersed in the village life. However, it is not a fast paced exciting book and the ending had me feeling a bit let down. Mcgregor has an incredibly unique writing style but not my favourite...

I‘m so in awe of this book. Written entirely through blinking by a man with ‘locked-in syndrome‘ describing what it‘s like to live in his condition. A short and at times witty book. Definite must read!!!
I am completely obsessed with this book! Wanted to try and make it last till the end of my holiday but just couldn't stop reading! The narrative from Jacks point of view is so powerful, making a harrowing story beautifully innocent.. Love love love! #room #emmadonoghue #holidayread #poolside #summer
I was really intrigued by this book. Before reading I had no idea what it was about. At times I loved it and at times I thought it was just downright weird. Still can't decide wether I like it or not however I have respect for the author and her ideas. A great femenist novel I thought it just went a bit too far... #thepower
