Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office. All the t's are crossed and i's dotted on Ellen's application. Her references are good. And she's easy on the eyes. Until ... Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing-not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones. The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen's side when Flint's autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can't compete with guitars-and rats. Yes, she has pet rats. This woman ... She's annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him-adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind. Still ... She must go. Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive.

So good! Can‘t believe some of the things Elle said to Flint, especially when they are first getting to know each other. Had me laughing! Really liked the complexities of their building relationship. Loved Elle‘s pet rats and how sweet she was with Flint‘s autistic son Harrison. Loved the forgiveness theme and how Flint had to cope with his past. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Flint is a lawyer who is looking for a tenant to rent some office space at his law firm, Ellen is a music therapist and annoyingly bubbly who ends up charming Flint‘s autistic son. This book looks like it‘s going to be the battle of wills and I can‘t wait to read more!

Another great contemporary romance from Jewel E Ann! This one featuring a single dad with demons in his past and an out-of-the-box music therapist who isn't quite what he bargained for. I'm 2 for 2 with her books so far so I'll happily continue to read her stuff. I love when a good standalone covers a lot of ground and isn't so black and white ❤️

Wonderful contemporary romance novel with one guilt-ridden hero and a spunky heroine. Note: the hero‘s son is an autistic middle-schooler and the author does a great job with this secondary character. Loved all of the characters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✴️ See above and so far, it is very good!👍

✴️ I have always been quiet and imaginative. I cannot remember not loving to read. My parents never hesitated to buy me books. If money was tight, we would go to yard sales, and my dad would buy me an entire box of books for $5🤓

✴️ Gym time, bath time, bed time

✴️ There are sooo many. Lately, I‘ve loved the characters from American Queen, by Sierra Simone.

Reading this book made me remember the saying that sometimes we don't end up with our greatest love, but with the correct love. And I couldn't agree more!

Another author that I have to add to my favourites!

Funny and a bit of a tear-jerker. Two people with tough pasts and a lot of responsibilities that come with adulthood fall madly in love. There are pet rats, parents interrupting adult children during sex, highly emotional reminiscences, very comic scenes. Heading out to find the author‘s backlist. #romantsy

A really sweet contemporary romance. There was a lot going on, both characters had a TON of baggage, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit and I loved the look into music therapy. #romantsy #romance #kindleunlimited #ku
