It is so awesome when you can‘t sleep, so you‘re up at 3:30 reading about simple living on Reddit and then you drift into a weird dream about work that takes you a hot minute to realize isn‘t real.

Almost as awesome as that run-on sentence.

Here‘s hoping any reading I get done today is absorbed.

Weaponxgirl You have my sympathy, I had insomnia last night too and pretty sure my review last night was rubbish. Wishing you reading that sticks 7y
dariazeoli @Weaponxgirl May we both have a restful sleep tonight! 7y

Two nights in a row. Three is my max.

EKonrad Not being able to sleep is the worst thing ever! I feel your pain. 😢 7y
Laura317 Ugh! Insomnia is awful. I hope you fall asleep soon. 7y
CatLass007 @Ekonrad @Laura317 Thank you! But I might be in it for the long-haul tonight. I‘m just trying to decide what to read or do next to keep my mind from going bananas. I could just read a book, or I could crochet and listen to a book, or I could cross-stitch and listen to a book. The possibilities, while not endless, are several. 7y

MemoirsForMe Meditation works for me. I hear they have some apps with meditations to help you sleep. Plus I try to skip caffeine and sugar after 8pm. Hope you get some sound sleep soon. 7y
CatLass007 @UwannaPublishme I have a couple of those apps on my phone but they don‘t seem to work in helping me to sleep. I do try to avoid caffeine and sugar after 7 PM. But sometimes caffeine and sugar don‘t keep me awake either. It‘s hard to know what to do. Thank you for your kind thoughts. 7y
CouronneDhiver Oh no! 🙁 Read anything super boring lately... maybe time for a half-hearted reread. Boredom will usually work for me 7y
CatLass007 @couronnedhiver The most boring book I remember reading lately was the one by Stephen King where the guy went into the past to save Kennedy. I bailed on it and I no longer own it. I have no real desire to put myself through that again. Guess I‘ll have to wait till tomorrow night to sleep. (edited) 7y
Captivatedbybooks Well atleast it‘s not just me! Since Saturday i cant fall asleep. 7y
CatLass007 @Captivatedbybooks Well, I‘m sorry you‘re not sleeping well either! Get some rest. I‘ll sleep some other day. 7y
EllieDottie So sorry! I hope rest is in your near future!! 7y
CatLass007 @EllieDottie Oh, no rest for the wicked. LOL 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 Hope you got some sleep finally 😱 7y

moranadatter Yikes! I hope you get a good night‘s rest tonight. 7y
dragondrool Ugh! I got nailed by insomnia last night, too. 7y
CatLass007 Well, so far tonight, I‘ve slept for over three hours, which is three more hours then I slept last night. 7y

It's 78 degrees here in Chicago right now, but I can't get quality rest without my winter blankets!! Sometimes I wake up really sweaty, but it's the only way my body and mind can fully relax. Stormy here doesn't mind that I can't sleep, she and all the cats ❤️my messy unmade bed. Does anyone else have this problem? The temp doesn't register when I am trying to get quality rest. It's bad enough I have to have BabyTv on at night. Good grief - Linus!

Laalaleighh I have to have really weighted blankets. It's like a comfort thing for me. Apparently a lot of people with anxiety need heavy blankets to sleep well. They even make ones specifically for that purpose (but I just layer like 10 blankets on top of my covers) 8y
RanaElizabeth I wouldn't have said I am an anxious person but I'm a heavy blanket person too. Of course, I also like sleeping with an extra pillow over my head so maybe I need to rethink that not-an-anxious-person thing. 8y

Mimi28 @Laalaleighh That makes sense. I do have high anxiety right now I am having a procedure done tomorrow. I have an unzipped old-fashioned sleeping bag that I use as a comforter that helps a lot. I'm even starting to have to lock the cats out of my room for quality sleep. Thanks! Hope you are feeling better ❤️😎👍 8y
Mimi28 @RanaElizabeth It's ok. It seems like everyone has their own sleep rituals. I do suffer from major anxiety though. 8y
DGRachel I always sleep better with fluffy comforters. I hated summers in Boone when I didn't have air conditioning because it was too hot for more than a sheet and I never slept well. 8y
Mimi28 @DGRachel I know what you mean. I've never had an air conditioner and sometimes the summers in Chicago are as rough as the winters. I feel Linus with all my blankets for security, lol 8y
Mimi28 @DGRachel like Linus, sorry 8y

I don't actually want to read this, but I should. I really should.
