#Riotgrams #day2 #LibraryLove If I could click my heels and wish I was in any library in the world, it would be The Bodleian Library in Oxford, England. A library was first built here in the 14th century before having a period of decline. In 1598 a former Oxford scholar, Thomas Bodley, donated money & a number of his own books to help rebuild it into a world class library. Officially opened in 1602 it was named the Bodleian in his honour.

It has one of the biggest collections of incunabulum in the world, including originals of the Gutenberg Bible & many other beautifully illuminated manuscripts. Can you imagine what it smells like in any one of their reading rooms? Or in the stacks? It‘s a bibliophiles wet dream!😍📖😍📖😍📖😍
