It was a black day and a bloody day in July 1918 when the Bolsheviks murdered the Romanovs who they held imprisoned in Ekaterinburg. Just been listening to a podcast about this on BBC History - and I‘ve read the tagged book which was fascinating.

peaKnit I so curious about this family as I am reading a fictional perspective by John Boyne 6y
Butterfinger I just finished The House of Special Purpose. This looks like a good one to read next. 6y

This was a very interesting read. It covers the Russian empire from just before Nicholas II took the throne through the Bolshevic revolution and the murder of Nicholas II and his family. It is written in great detail and as a matter of history, offers amazing insight.

MrBook Sounds great! 😊👍🏻 8y
