I guessed the twists but it was still a highly enjoyable listen. Annette Chown is good company for the bedridden.

This is worth its hype. Sooo gripping with many twists and turns. There‘s a point in this where I teared up, sad sad sad.. but a wild ride that‘s for sure. Great ending! 🙌🏻 4 ☆

I told her that Nick had changed the locks on the house and cancelled all my cards. ‘He‘s done what?! You‘re kidding me.‘ Her voice hit the high notes. ‘Utter shit, utter, utter shit. Mind you, it doesn‘t surprise me for one second. That‘s why I just caved in when he wanted me to leave. I knew he‘d play dirty if I fought him.‘

‘I love you,‘ I whispered, and I will never forget his clumsy reply: ‘And me you too, I think.‘ Not a ringing endorsement, especially when I‘d just given him my virginity, but I forgave him. I always forgave him. No matter what.

TrishB Just read this one this afternoon! 6y

Continuing #kidspickingbooks (is it July yet 😁)
Sons pick- the blurb says ‘if you like Gone Girl and Girl on the Train‘ which always makes my heart sink as I didn‘t like either. BUT, I did enjoy this, good twists, good characters (didn‘t necessarily like all of them but well written in the story!). A quick, easy thriller to read. I did guess the end but that was fine too!

TheKidUpstairs I feel like any thriller will be described in that way. They sold lots of books, so the marketing department wants to make the comparison! 6y
TrishB @TheKidUpstairs I know 😁 puts me off if anything! 6y
TheKidUpstairs @TrishB it's a major pet peeve of mine. Anything remotely magical gets "if you loved Harry Potter", thrillers get this shit, etc. I try to ignore it all. But I've been sucked in by some crazy ones myself, so I understand why they do it. 6y

Ms_T Are they still comparing books to Gone Girl and Girl on the Train? Argh! 6y
TrishB @Ms_T I know! Give it up people! 6y
RadicalReader @TrishB what an amazing Tag to have children pick books. They should also do one where parents pick out books for kids as well 6y
TrishB @RadicalReader I do that too 😁 they just don‘t read as much as me! 6y

Lots of twisty plot points in this book. I loved it. Told from several points of view the reader thinks they know what‘s happening when WHAM! It‘s all turned on its head. The main characters are believable and you feel for them and their experiences throughout the story. #NetGalley

Cinfhen Nice review 7y
tammysue Great review, Julie! 7y
KateFulfordAuthor If you like laugh out loud dialogue, twisty plots + strong female narrative, may I recommend my debut novel to you? Links to reviews and more are in my bio. With thanks, Kate. 7y
