I haven‘t listened to this book before, but a lot of the stories are very familiar. Maybe they appeared in other publications that I‘ve also read. I don‘t know. I enjoyed most of the stories in this book, although one or two didn‘t really keep my attention the way I would‘ve preferred. All in all, it‘s a pick.

There are 15 stories by 15 different authors in this anthology. I expected at least some of them to feature Sookie, but she was only briefly in one of them. Of the lot, 3 of them were moderately enjoyable. The remaining 12 varied from so-so to pointless filler. A waste of an audible credit. ☹

Today‘s #bookhaul from library discards. This is a sickness. I can‘t stop myself.

Kiddo and I visited a new branch today, small but very nice, and with an entirely new selection of freebies. Also a nice walking trail. It was the upside to driving half an hour only to discover the brass quintet concert had been indefinitely postponed. And kiddo got another stack of books, as usual.

Southern Vampire fanfic by other novelists, who I don't think I've ever heard of, and edited by Ms. Harris herself. The stories varied in quality and some involved characters so minor I have no memory of them at all. None of them inspired me to look for their author's own work.
