There is a complicated mixture of themes that are relevant today and it felt like such a real and authentic read to me,like it could have been taken from news headlines. There are some interesting twists,I found this to be more of an unraveling of a scandal than a edge of your seat thriller.A very satisfying ending that captured the consequences of telling lies and living the truth. This was a courtroom drama/messy domestic drama read. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed this novel quite abit. I love when story takes place over 2 different timelines so this book was perfect for that. This is the story of two bestfriends and one night that changed their lives forever. It tells the story of what happened that horrible night in 2005 while showing the importance it played in their lives in 2017. The story is told through multiple characters which I also love. 😊

It‘s the type of book I usually go for, it was just all a little too lack luster for me. I had high expectations though, and it wasn‘t bad, just not memorable

Meanwhile, I did purchase this 2d book of Laura Marshalls ....so audio cleaning 🧹 here we go....

This is the first book by this author that I have read, and it kept my interest well. Personally, I found the different timelines easy to keep separate and this style was perfect for the storyline. Certain parts are difficult to read due to the subject matter (sexual violence), but it was dealt with in a believable way. Rating: 4 🌟
