After all the overarching plot line payoffs last book I was curious where the series was headed and this one is kind of an introduction into phase two. Alex learns more about the path he needs to take when he is given a prophecy of sorts and has to decide what he‘s willing to do for his friends. There was also a mini twist that I think will bring some important confrontations later.

Managed to finish a fair amount of reading this week. I knocked out three more series reads and am almost finished with a fourth. I enjoyed everything I read this week which was nice.

My goal is to finish up my current read and then start whatever comes up for Book Spin and Calibre Roulette.

The 9th in Benedict Jacka‘s ALEX VERUS SERIES is another action-packed adventure that also advances and complicates the political background that Verus is operating in while also (finally) advancing a romance plotline with Anne that‘s been rumbling on for too long and its ending leaves the overall board in an interesting position, such that I will definitely check out book 10.

There was so much happening in Marked, it just felt like non-stop action. There were plenty of magical battles, tenuous alliances, and Alex was growing in his abilities in the Elsewhere. Plenty of excitement going on in this story that make it a one stop read fest! I also loved that Alex finally admitted something to himself that he had long been denying and acted on it!
