It think every parent wants to be more involved with their kids and school but when they need help we all seem to have something else to do. The wit that Jen Dixon has in this story is hilarious. She is what we all aspire to be and say.

Lighthearted & funny. Definitely enjoyable. It was just what I needed😀
Feeling very female today so I‘m just lounging around for as long as I can!
Really fun and easy to read. A nice break after reading She Said, which is important but HEAVY. I could read a dozen of these. Can't wait until the next one is published.
Had to pick up the next one. I'm in the middle of a five day colonoscopy prep. I need some light and easy reading right now. I'm so hungry :(
I really enjoyed this book. It was a light and funny fast read. This is the second book in the Class Mom series and I liked it just as much as the first. Although it does make me nervous about my own kids entering elementary school. Is the PTA really this scary???
Review is up on my blog. This is laugh out loud funny! https://reecaspieces.com/2019/11/05/youve-been-volunteered-by-laurie-gelman-revi...
Follow-up book to Class Mom about midwestern stay at home mom who leads the crossing guard volunteers and writes humorous emails to the other parents. I enjoyed the book for the most part, although I find the main character very shallow and self-absorbed.I found myself rolling my eyes a lot at some of her behaviors. One of my favorite parts is the book takes place in Kansas City, where I live, so the restaurants mentioned are all familiar.
These are just a few of my October reads. Check out my blog for the complete list. Lots of good ones in October!

I started this one this morning. This book is hilarious!!!
This is the second in the Class Mom series and I quite enjoy the witty and funny dialogue. I‘m probably ready to read something heavier now
Onto my next light read of the weekend. The main character is reminding me a bit of Madeleine in Big Little Lies but without the murder and complex story line 🤣
This is the second book in what I suppose you could now call the “Class Mom” series. Now I hope there‘s a third because I really enjoy Gelman‘s writing style and can relate to her sense of humor. With a somewhat self explanatory premise, this is a nice, light read-perfect to offset so many heavier reads out there. In fact, with such a relatable premise, I‘m surprised it hasn‘t been explored more often.

I enjoyed Gelman‘s first novel, Class Mom, so this is up next. It‘s also the perfect time of year to read it with Back to School rapidly approaching...not that I want to think about it. 😔 #litsyatoz #lettery
Since I listened to the first Class Mom novel, I have become one (PVC: Parent Volunteer Coordinator at our school), so I expect to laugh even more with this one.
Dollycas‘s Thoughts
Jen Dixon is my idol. She is everything I wish I was while shepherding 4 children through school.
Totally entertaining – a must-read for all moms! Add this book to your Back-to-School lists today!
