A wonderful trilogy!
I like how there are notes on the bottom of the page to build knowledge and comprehension of the ideas at hand.
Published in 2006, this story is about magic and the history of how they have been living. This story is set back in time and visits the possibility of magic and how it is used for good and evil. The three partners work to defeat demons and save others.
“Once, long ago, I was second to none.”
This book is longer and definitely for older grades. This book also is a series, which means you need to read the book previous before being able to fully understand the content.
The Bartimawus Trilogy: Ptolemy‘s Gate (2006) by Jonathan Stroud is a series book that focuses on a character named Nathaniel. This book focuses on the secrets of Bartimaeus history and get a glimpse into the other place. This book is magical and makes the reader use their background knowledge. Longer book.
“The assassin took his dagger from between his teeth. With quiet deliberation, he surveyed the room, gauging it‘s extent and the possibility of traps”
If you like magic and action this series is for you. The opener of the book begin with assassins breaking in which makes you want to keep reading.

Two done two to go
The BARTIMAEUS books are the best ever made.
Thanks to @julesG for gifting me them.
Loved this audiobook. An amazing end to an amazing series. And so, SO funny!! 😂
#HelloOctober is almost done but I managed to finish my book! This was a great finale to the trilogy. All the questions I had from the previous books were answered, every important character's storyline addressed in depth and resolved, and the ending was perfectly bittersweet. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend in that world ❤️
Wish I could keep on reading but I'm getting too sleepy 😴 #HelloOctober was pretty successful today: I finished a book and made progress on two more. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I should have another great day of reading! Hope everyone is having a good bookish weekend 📚
