If You Give a Dog a Donut
If You Give a Dog a Donut | Laura Numeroff
8 posts | 8 read
If you give a dog a donut, hell ask for some apple juice to go with it. When you give him the juice, hell drink it all up. Then, before you can say Woof . . . Dog is off on a backyard adventure! The exuberant dog who first appeared in if you give a pig a party is now the star of his very own book. Written in the irresistible If You Give tradition, if you give a dog a donut is another home run from the beloved team of Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond.

Such a fun story! This MF book is for sure read, it will have your craving donuts, apple juice, baseball, and so much more. This story follows our main character, a dog who discovers the many different things he wants to eat, say, or do.

Mmurphy I would use this book as a S which I plan to do in my upcoming presentation. By creating a physical object showing how one item leads to the next. This would guide information processing and visualization (3.3)UDL.

For my EL‘s I would reinforce the key ideas I am presenting again and again to make sure they are able guide their processing(15).

This MF book about a dog who gets a donut which leads to him wanting more than just a donut. This would be a fun S for the classroom. Lauranumeroff.com has all the information on the author and all of her other books. EL strategy teach questioning for clarification and UDL principle use multiple media for communication would go well with the book. #UCFLAE3414sp20

This MF by Laura Numeroff is about a dog and his adventures when given a donut and apple juice. It is a fun book that can be used with S because of how interactive it is. An EL streategy that can be used with this book would be 15 because there is a lot of repetition in the book and a UDL strategy would be 1.1 because the teacher can use props like stuffed animals and such.

This website provides readers with a read aloud of the book that can be incorporated while the teacher shows students props such as stuffed animals, donuts, and apple juice.

DrSpalding As we observed in class, these books make great storytellings! Be sure to proof your posts as there are some minor errors. Use this series of books in a primary classroom. Again, try to utilize higher-quality resources like the author and publisher websites. 5y
