Today, my boyfriend and I hiked at Ringing Rocks State Park, a Park literally made of one large waterfall, a creek, a couple trails, and - yes, you guessed it - a TON of rocks!

But why are they so cool? Bring your hammer, because when you tap them, they legitimately ring. I was hesitant at first, but it worked!

Never seen a park quite like this before.

Ringing Rocks County Park is a Bucks County park in Upper Black Eddy. Originally, the land was acquired by the Penn family from the Lenape (Delaware Nation) through the infamous 1737 Walking Purchase. On August 22, 1918, the land was donated to the Bucks County Historical Society. Later, the land was transferred to Bucks County and operated as a county park.

Every October where I grew up, I have memories of my friends and other teens daring each other to visit the “Seven Gates of Hell“ in a wooded area off a small road in Hellam. When I think Urban Legends, this is the first thing I think of, and it made it into the Weird Pennsylvania book. 😃

I own a few of these books - very popular in the ‘00 decade, these books showcase odd and bizarre places in each state. I‘m tagging PA, since that‘s my state.
