Sorry to say this one is not in the database. It is book #2 in the Vampire's Choice series and just as good as the first. I am loving the darkness struggling in Dorian but not so much of it that it is the story is depressing. Another 5⭐ for me.

V.M. Black is great, y‘all. Her contemporary fantasies feature well-realized characters with concrete stakes in their own (suddenly paranormal) lives, and her prose is all kinds of readable. This vampire novella flew by.

The downside is, she writes serials rather than standalones. This first episode introduces us to Cora, shows us what she has to lose, and thrusts her into a new life, but if you want resolution you‘ll need the rest of the series.

My reading buddy needs his ears brushed. #readathon
