I wanted to like this book and I DID finish it, but it was a struggle. Finished Apr 30, 2023.

I always get sad at all the December readathons since I never have time to participate with the end-of-semester grading. But #JumpStart2023 I can do!
I'm setting my goal for 10 books, including:
-rereads of the 3 novels I'm using for my World Literature course in the spring
-reading books received as Christmas presents
-taking 1 whole day to just enjoy sitting and reading and snacking with my husband
Thanks @Lizpixie and @Clwojick!
I really quite enjoyed this story of books, alternate worlds, magic, murder, and mayhem.

Finally getting around to this one! So far a lot of eye rolling but I'm sure it'll be a quick, fun read while I wait for @TheAromaofBooks' #bookspinbingo to start!
I figure it's also a good time to update my #SeriesRead2021 stats. This is the 19th book this year that's part of a series. Unfortunately, I STARTED 10 new series this year alone. @TheSpineView am I doing it wrong?
I really liked this. It wasn't what I expected, in a good way. I went into it knowing it's a fantasy about books, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the world building, action, and pacing.
Definitely recommend if you like immersive fantasy about books and language, featuring clever and all too human characters.
Irene passed the mop across the stone floor in smooth, careful strokes, idly admiring the gleam of wet flagstones in the lantern-light. 🏮

I am LOVING this bookish-adventure story 😍

From the Publisher:
Collecting books can be a dangerous prospect in this fun, time-traveling, fantasy adventure—the first in the Invisible Library series! One thing any Librarian will tell you: the truth is much stranger than fiction... Irene is a professional spy for the mysterious Library, a shadowy organization that collects important works of fiction from all of the different realities.
So far, this has been incredibly lackluster. Hope it picks up soon.
