Teens fight for their humanity in this thrilling third book in the "New York Times" bestselling Unwind dystology by Neal Shusterman. Connor and Lev are on the run after the destruction of the Graveyard, the last safe haven for AWOL Unwinds. But for the first time, they're not just running away from something. This time, they're running towards answers, in the form of a woman Proactive Citizenry has tried to erase from history itself. If they can find her, and learn why the shadowy figures behind unwinding are so afraid of her, they may discover the key to bringing down unwinding forever. Cam, the rewound boy, is plotting to take down the organization that created him. He knows that if he can bring Proactive Citizenry to its knees, it will show Risa how he truly feels about her. And without Risa, Cam is having trouble remembering what it feels like to be human. With the Juvenile Authority and vindictive parts pirates hunting them, their paths will converge explosively--and everyone will be changed. Neal Shusterman continues the adventure that VOYA called "poignant, compelling, and ultimately terrifying."

This is is the weakest book in the series overall as I don‘t think it did a lot to advance to play for world as much as it needed too considering this was the 2nd to last book in the series.

4 ⭐ The airplane graveyard, and the safe space is no more. Many kids were captured or killed and now Connor and Lev are on the run. They are off to find a hidden human who may be just the answer they need to defeat Proactive Citizenry. However, after a dangerous run in with a “fan” in small town America, they pick up a new ally, and a new set of problems.

LibrarianRyan Risa is trying to live with the changes she didn‘t want, and Cam, our parts boy, wants to use his “perfect” self to take down the very people who made him.

These books are amazing. The rights the kids are fighting for, and the answers they find are astounding, and somewhat predictable. Kind of like the Purge movies. An organization making and fighting both sides of a moral war. This book is not as much of a gut punch as books one and books 2,

Third book in the series and my least favorite. The story is still compelling, the characters are still worth rooting for, but this seemed to drag the story out perhaps unnecessarily. There‘s more character development than action in this book, a change from the first two. Still a good series. #dogsoflitsy #winternap #petsoflitsy

Buechersuechtling There‘s some truth in this. On the one hand. On the other hand: If I put my head on the ground like an ostrich, am I not slowing down then? Simply by not moving or stopping to move? 😉 5y
WJCintron @Buechersuechtling Yes! I totally agree 💯!! My same line of thought. The quote works with what's happening in the book and with what the character said/meant. 👍 But I get what you're saying. 😃 5y

Cinfhen Looks good! I think someone else is hosting the #2020DystopianReads 😁 5y
WJCintron @Cinfhen Yes! I'm participating from a couple of challenges and crossing over some of the prompts/books which is allowed. That one is hosted by someone else. Sharing like it was requested by them. And it also fits your prompt for the #booked2020 under the 4th of July: red/blue/white type, summer prompt. It's a lot of fun!! Thanks for hosting!! 😃🙌 5y

Cinfhen Got it!!!! You are participating in lots of challenges/ me too!!! Sometimes it‘s hard to track them all 😅 5y
WJCintron @Cinfhen tell me about it!! 🤣😂 Last year I couldn't read at all, like only 12 or 13 books. I was more focused on writing and producing a web series. This year I want to read what I couldn't plus many more. Let's see what happens. Sometimes life gets in the way. 🙄 Have a great night! Gotta go to bed, it's 4:33am!!! Time to close the books and call it a night. 😁Zzzzzzzzz 🌛Bye!! 5y

Cinfhen I haven‘t read any books of this series but you‘ve peeked my interest! I‘m hosting #Booked2020 along with @BarbaraTheBibliophage and @4thhouseontheleft not sure which prompt you are referring too??? 😉 5y
WJCintron @Cinfhen if you like dystopian you should read it, it's great! Yes! √ Summer prompt: A book with a red/white/blue type on the cover. 4th of July Unsouled not only has a white type on the cover/also has blue, red and white color. All the colors of 4th of July!! 😉 It totally fits the prompt! 😃 On the guidelines it said you could read from any of the seasons at any given time. Summer, even though here in California it's still Winter. Am I right? 5y
Cinfhen Yes!!!! Totally!!!!! Sorry I missed the correlation 😝 5y
WJCintron @Cinfhen No worries! I myself get confused too with all the challenges and prompts!! 😃👍 5y

Devoured this in one night, just like last time. Still not a fan of the endless parade of POVs — I found myself feverishly turning the page, not necessarily because I wanted to know what happened next, but because I was waiting for either Connor or Risa‘s chapters. But I found I could hold on to the plot better this time. Really enjoyed seeing Cam‘s growth & getting to know the Arapache nation. Can‘t believe we‘re already to the end 😭😭😭. ★★★★☆.

'Hope can be bruised and battered. It can be forced underground and even rendered unconscious, but hope cannot be killed.'

I honestly think this is my favorite Unwind book so far. One more to go!

Just finished this and the story continues to get more interesting. I must say that the solution to unwinding, is a good thing, and I have suspicions as to why no one wants to use it.

azulaco I didn‘t know this was a series! Definitely want to read books 2 and 3. 7y
BookishGirl06 @azulaco there are 4 books in total. I‘m gonna be reading the final one soon 7y

The beginning was great, and the end was SUPER fun. I loved Connor & Risa's reunion, I loved the set up for the next book. But the middle lagged, & the revolving door of POVs didn't help. I got annoyed at frequently being pulled in the perspective of minute background characters. I get the purpose, but I still didn't like it. However, if the ending is anything to go on, the finale of this series is guaranteed to be a scorcher!! Can't wait. ★★★☆☆.
