This series says TRANS RIGHTS!!! How can one not love it??
Having said that, I liked Dreadnaught better. Turns out I waited too long to read this one, and ended up forgetting some stuff from the first book…it made it slightly hard to follow for a bit 😅

Some bits could be a bit triggering for queer teens, and it brought back some less than pleasant memories regarding growing up, coming out, and dealing with family… but it was part of the journey!

Doesn't live up to the emotional nuance of the 1st book. Does have loads of action, rad supporting characters, imaginative world building (how do superheroes operate in a buercratic society?), high stakes.

I wish this story had spent more time developing the MC's ties to her family-of-friends, the family she chose.

This book was surprisingly good, picked it up because it was one of audibles free books this month but enjoyed it a lott! I'm still reading the search for Wondla and this story reminds me of this one but with a male main character, so not the best books to read at the same time 😂
In this book you follow a young boy, forced to explore new planets on his own because of a accident on his parents spaceship. And all the creatures he meets

I agree with popular opinion that this just isn‘t as good as the first one. Enjoyable. The plot was excellent, and parts felt very topical, but it was much gorier than Dreadnought, and I found it less satisfying.

Superheroes! Now with more paperwork?

It wasn‘t quite as good as the first. This one focused heavily on the technicalities of law and business in the superhero world plus very detailed fight sequences, neither of which keep my interest as much as character development. It was great to spend time with the characters again, I just wish the focus had been a bit different.

Time for the sequel to Dreadnought! Can‘t wait.

Soooo good. Loved the first and second one.

Oh my goodness, the interaction in the third chapter with Kinetiq is freaking amazing and if you aren't reading this fantastic superhero series, you are missing out.

The sequel to Dreadnought is so good folks! This time Danny's battling a transphobic witch, a Not-quite-fascist who wants to take over the world by stealing people's powers and giving them to the 'worthy' (ie, the rich) and her own inner demons.
