This would have been more interesting if parts weren't so tedious. You would hear the whole story & then at the end, there would be a news article or poem from that time explaining the whole story...again. The author was also reaching a little on some of the comparisons w/ other famous killers. Overall it had some interesting stories however. #audiobook #scribd #truecrime

If you‘re a fan of true crime, you‘ll love this one. I recognized some of the cases from podcast episodes. You can jump around or read straight through. There‘s a little bit of everything if you enjoy the macabre and bizarre.

#2019Book25
This is my favorite of Schechter‘s books so far. It stays true to its title by discussing killers that have been lost to history, and for once Schechter doesn‘t devote half the book to Ed Gein and Albert Fish.

Apparently July 9 is referred to in true crime vernacular as the “July 9 nexus,” because multiple prolific killers were born on that day. Including (alleged killer) OJ Simpson and Jodi Arias! Who knew?!

Great book. I love books that cover offbeat history. Think school killings are a new tjing? Apparently it has been occuring since the 1920s. This book covers horrific crimes in the US that have been all but forgotten.
