Let‘s get this show on the road! (Or, you know. On the couch.) #24in48 #readathon
Here‘s my #24in48 stack - taking this opportunity to clear out some library books and wrap up a couple of series I‘ve been working on. (Or at least make some progress, the Vorkosigan series is 16+ books! And I started it a week ago. Possibly my perception of how long it should take to finish is a little skewed.)
Loved it! Now I have to wait for July 25th for the last book though... 😡🤓
Kate Elliott never disappoints. Poisoned Blade picks up just after Court of Fives. Once the action starts, it doesn't let up. Political intrigue, emotional upheavals, and danger abound in this strong middle volume. Read it. You won't be disappointed.
Love it when the sequel is as good as if not better than the first. Elliott's Poisoned Blade is such a book and her Court of Fives series is definitely one to read. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Excellent follow- up to Court of Fives. It starts just where the previous book ends and follows Jes as she becomes more involved in intrigue while trying to save her family.
Gettin' started! Not the most Christmas-y book, but it fits my current mood.
(Thanks to the publisher for the complimentary eARC)
I love listening to audiobooks during my commute, when I'm cooking, or just too lazy to read but still want to experience a great story. This week, #PoisonedBlade is keeping me company! #KateElliott #GameofFives #YA #amlistening #amreading #currentlyreading #wirn #audiobooks #audible
Mmm this book was calculating and predatory in the best of ways. It builds strongly on the world and characters presented in Court of Fives. It strongly reminds me of Tamora Pierce's Trickster duology, my favorite of her series. I will pretty much follow Kate Elliott anywhere though, so this review is heavily biased 😍
Road trip supplies!! Of course, I need a book to come with me. And if you glance at the door pocket, you'll notice my emergency copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, just in case 😉
Can't wait for the last one in the series! I loved the fantasy Greco-Roman-Egyptian setting and the only thing I didn't really care for was the incipient love triangle.
Learning to see things differently is sometimes difficult but always worthwhile.
I have to say, Court of Fives and Poisoned Blade look great on the shelf together!
Omg!!!! I think this was better than book 1!!!! I NEED book 3 now!!!!
