Twice before he had been forced to join with the Lords of Revelstone in their war against Lord Foul, the ancient enemy of the Land. Now he was back. This time the Lords of Revelstone were desperate. Today‘s #tarottakeover card is The World. This card is about realizing your goals and restoring balance. I choose The Power that Preserves, the final book of the First Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. This book is focused of restoring balance to The Land, helping repair and restore the unbalanced you may cause and what sacrifices may come in tying to achieve this. It‘s final moments always break my heart a little.

Erinsuereads @Meaw_catlady picked a similar vibe in her post!!! Great choice. Also this picture is real spooky with that black background! 6y

Pickpick

The 3rd in the trilogy and first published in the UK in 1978. This ties up the loose ends from the first two books, bringing the stories of the troubled Lena, Trell, Triock and Saltheart Foamfollower to their conclusions. The tale of the Giants is some of the best of the whole series. As always it repeatedly throws Covenant's earlier failings back at him as Lord Foul tries to bring him to the ultimate despair. Such great storytelling

A few #green books from my shelves; both read and to be read. I've browsed the mythology books, reading them here and there, but haven't given them a thorough cover to cover read yet. Storm of Swords is still on the #tbr, along with the rest of A Song of Ice and Fire. #ReadingResolutions

Richryan52 @TK-241 my next book will have a dark green cover 7y

TK-421 @Richryan52 Awesome 👍 7y
TK-421 @Aims42 🙌 I can't decide if I like The Witches or The Watch Discworld books best. Both are awesome! 7y
Aims42 @TK-421 I hear ya!!! Those are very close favorites for me too 😍 Then I throw in the Death series and there‘s no chance of choosing just 1 favorite series (edited) 7y
TK-421 @aims42 Exactly! But I can say with certainty that I'm not fond of Rincewind. 7y
Aims42 @TK-421 ugh, yes i agree 😒 I didn‘t finish ‘The Color of Magic‘ and I kind of have no desire to try reading it again. I‘d like to read whatever series ‘Pryamids‘ is in. So much Pratchett, so little time 🤪 7y
