Still loving this series. This time Daniel is kidnapped and Bandette is on the case to find her friend. Great graphics, characters and storyline. I love how the ending of the book is left with a cliffhanger to get the reader excited for the next book in the series.

BrandedKristen I haven't thought about this series in so long. It's so great. 12mo

Loved this! Higher stakes with the kidnapping of Daniel and the appearance of the sinister Voice…

I also enjoyed reading the author note at the end about the inspiration for Madame Presto - the painter, Suzanne Valadon - who among many other things - was a model in Renoir‘s Dance at Bougival (which I recently had the pleasure of seeing at the NGV between lockdowns)

While I‘m still a bit sad that my set will never be matching (the hardbacks are so pretty) - I‘m excited to finally be able to keep reading Bandette!

Opening the letterbox and finding bookmail is rather good as well! Especially on a day that feels like a Friday but is actually only a Wednesday.

Bandette continues to be great! Though a page or two of everydayness might have been nice. #graphicnovel

Book 2 of #24in48 finished, mostly when the boys were watching Daniel Tiger and Mighty Machines.
I am readathoning but I'm not really counting the hours as I know there's no way I can do 24, what with weekend activities and being w the kids (plus the husband has work fr home this weekend!).
Readathons - can't resist them! They're just such fun!
And so is Bandette! Thief extraordinaire and chocoholic! I love the art history background too.

BookHermit Mighty Machines! That brings back memories. I can still remember the theme song. 8y

I needed some fun and Bandette came to my rescue! (I knew she would 😉). Oh, she is magnifique!
Volume 3 introduces some new villainry to Bandette's vibrant Parisian world and a new mystery to chase across the rooftops. But amongst the hijinks, high wires, and chocolates bars, the characters shine with added depth. I didn't know I could love them more💕
Now what to do until more Bandette adventures appear? Ah, oui - I shall reread of course!

[DELETED] 1409720085 Yes! I just got two and three in the mail! So excited! 8y

Bandette delivers again! This really is such a lovely series. The foreword nails it, likening our caped crusader/thief extraordinaire to Audrey Hepburn meets The Pink Panther...I've been trying to pin that down for a while now! Anyhow, Bandette deserves a read if you need a little joy in your comics.

Also, here are my cats.

Ok! So the audio of Gang Leader for a Day was kind of annoying (gonna read it read it), but the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is about to play, with tonight's bill including Mozart's Requiem. Going to tune in, work on some good wine, and knock out some shorter books in the meantime.

BookBabe Oooh, I ❤️ the Requiem! 🎼🎶🍷🙌🏻 8y
LindsayReads @BookBabe Yes!! They're in intermission now, then it will start! If you're not busy: http://www.stlpublicradio.org/programs/symphony.php 8y
LauraBrook LOVE his Requiem!!! How was it? 8y
LindsayReads @LauraBrook Oh, it could have only been more moving if I had been able to see it live. 8y

Based on this panel, I'm starting a fan theory that Banette's secret identity is actually Charlotte Grote from Bad Machinery.

Carol @elkeo so glad you're also in the Bandette fan club!!! She's what got me into comics in the first place. 8y
