#MarchMadness Day 22: Iphigene‘s review: “The conflict is clearly stated with Piggie‘s expression of being mad and sad, and Gerald‘s guilt is expressed with a sincere #apology. Having worked with kids for the past year, I find the characters of this lovely series so accurate in its depiction of a child‘s emotions. The wonder of this book is it challenges children to think of alternative resolutions to a problem.” More here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-55O
I‘m so proud of my 5 year old! He is starting to read on his own! He checked out this Elephant and Piggie book from the school library and has been reading it to me.
Well after the readathon, my old iPhone decided it didn‘t like Litsy any more. 😒 Yesterday I was finally able to get a new one, and I am so happy to have something that works! Here‘s a pic of Chico just a little while ago, basking in the sun.
In the end, I only read the 3 books I posted about, in about 5H 45M. Not great, but that‘s okay. It got me back into reading again, which is what I was truly hoping for.
Now it‘s coffee time! ☕️
Took my kids to the library today and my son literally dropped what he was playing with when he saw these books displayed on the shelf. So we sat and read them together. I love watching his facial expressions go from concern to amused. It made my day. 😊
