@ErinSueG #crimesagainstcovers I would quite happily rip pages or create confetti out of this book - too detailed and I couldn't get past the first four chapters - not surprisingly I bailed on this one!

And a view of the whole of Abbotsford with the other side of the library in-set. Part of the house is now a 5⭐ hotel that has kept the period flavor - looks divine 😍

I spent most of the day at Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott. I've never been a fan of his work but the house is lovely and it was wonderful to see his entire remarkable library in situ as I often have individual items and volumes for consultation at work. Great day out despite the poor weather!
