I crashed at 930pm last night, which meant that I was wide awake at 330am. I‘m about 2/3 of the way through this book, but I‘m going to take a little nap before I head to work for my evening shift. #jumpstart2021 #bookspin

Started this one out of a sense of obligation since I paid for it, and it took me forever to finish even though it's not very long. It never pulled me in unfortunately, and I usually like character driven stories. I probably should have bailed, but I saw it through to the end. #PercyCat is wondering why. 🐱

Pickpick

Follow a family for 25 years after the wedding of one of the siblings. In the wee hours of the morning a carload of sleepy, stoned guests hit and kill a young girl on a winding country road. It affects those in the car and out, especially the siblings and their relationships. Carmen the bride, the artist sister, and the brilliant brother who can't leave drugs alone. The accident doesn't make them, but it does alter them and their lives.

I feel like this book just fizzled out. It started strong and by the end, I didn't care as much and had gotten bored quite a few times. The writing was excellent and I really enjoyed the characters. But, overall this wasn't my favorite.

Found at a used bookstore in Bennington, VT, called Now and Then Books. It had a lot of older books.

Here are a few books I've started and then, for one reason or another, abandoned. Any you think I should take another crack at?
