I finished this late last night. A pretty quick read and bizarre. This wouldn't be a lot of people's cuppa but I enjoyed the weirdness. The world falls into chaos: a volcano rises from the bay, Sasquatch & floating horse heads are among us, people are changed physically, and Scotch is growing a layer of black sticky blemishes. The plot is all over the place. If you like weird, give this a try.

I got the 6yo to read a book to his brother.
So I could read my own book!

#anditsaugust day 30: #cantstopwontstop reading diverse books

This was a very strange and interesting book. Although there were a lot of wacky things going on, I really enjoyed it and loved the different folklore that was present in the story. More Hopkinson needed in my reading for sure!

This was one of the #queer52 picks and while I really did enjoy reading this, I am a bit confused as the MC is not queer. There are different queer characters and relationships in the story but not the MC. 🤷🏻‍♀️
