4/5 for this one! This was such a good steamy romance! I loved Rafe! Sloan is perfect sassy mama. The story pulled me and I couldn‘t put the book down. I will definitely read the next book.

15/100, 3☆, This was a solid erotic romance. Good characters and well done, plot driven drama. I liked that the characters were unique as this is such a broad genre. Love the BIPOC representation and the mixed-race coupling. The steamy scenes were quite steamy and very believable.
Lol! I just realized the blurb at the top! Too funny! 🤣 Anyway, I am loving the role reversal here. We have a STEM black woman and a nurturing man in this one, I thought the story was cute. I kinda hoped it was longer honestly.
What do you do when it‘s February and you‘re consciously trying to #ReadBlackAuthors more, but you‘re stressed and just want a trashy romance? I personally found a new-to-me, awesome author in Weatherspoon, ignored the questionable title, downloaded and devoured this super-sexy, sweet romance with an awesome leading lady in one Sunday night.
It‘s really 🔥🔥🔥, with solid writing and a great hook in the epilogue that led me to book 2.

Woot! I finished 3 books this month--better than the last two months!
First, my #BookSpin, A Squeezed Lemon by J.J. Powell. Not in the Litsy database because it's a book self-published by a friend & colleague! I loved reading his stories & poetry about his life.
My #DoubleSpin was the tagged book. I really enjoyed it! I don't read a lot of romance & this was for a challenge prompt, but it was great--sweet & sexy.

I know I'm late, but here's my list for #BookSpinBingo! The tagged is my #DoubleSpin (I seem to have better luck reading these) & will fulfill a reading challenge prompt. Hoping for more reading this month!

If you are looking for a book with great characters, sexy scenes, and low angst then this is the book for you. I loved every second of it. Rafe is so sweet and Sloan is awesome.
This book was awesome. The relationship has its ups and downs thanks to kids, exes and jobs, but I appreciate a novel in which both parties act like the adults they are.
I took a second #audiowalk so I could put some stuff in the Little Free Library, give Casey a treat, and finish RAFE. Multi-tasking is great.
RAFE was really good, if not as instantly charming as XENI. Aside from Sloan‘s awful ex, it‘s a very nice book about two people who connect with each other and with two smart six-year-olds. Awwww.
I forgot to take a picture on my #audiowalk because I went past Superstore and THERE WAS NO LINE TO ENTER THE STORE!!!
I rushed to buy more groceries than I‘ve ever bought in my life. Basically the only thing I wanted that they were out of was 1.75kg bags of frozen Brussels sprouts, but I got a ton of fresh ones for only $0.45 so I‘m good.
I took a coooooold #audiowalk just now. Here‘s hoping my weather app‘s telling the truth when it says it‘ll be 13 tomorrow. I need air I can‘t see my breath in.
XENI was so awesome that I needed more Rebekah Weatherspoon immediately. Now I‘m 38% into RAFE and in possession of four more face masks to pass along to extended family. #audiosewing
If the title and cover of this book appeal to you, and you like your romances on the steamy side, then I think you'll like this. It's well done, but it's wish fulfillment for a wish that isn't mine, and I personally didn't think it transcended that the way the best romances do.
#ReadHarder2020: A romance starring a single parent. #ReadHarder
“...the way Avery smashed her tiny fist to his and then practically jumped into his arms made Sloan's left and right ventricles work a little harder.“
Ugh, I don't think awkwardly throwing around anatomical terms is the best way to demonstrate that your heroine is a doctor.
Five Days at Memorial is excellent but a really difficult, draining read, so I picked up something easier as a break. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about this one since the subtitle seems like the real selling point and that doesn't do it for me, but I have it and it fits #ReadHarder task 14: a romance starring a single parent, so I'm checking it out. #ReadHarder2020
It's been long time since I picked up a romance novel and not been able to put it down, This book had everything you want in a good light hearted read, fun, sexy and whole lot of cutie.
