So this has been on TBR list for a year or so, and have to say was worth the read. It was easy to follow and the story was a compelling story and worth the read, you couldn't help but root for the main character Sgt. PJ and his many troubles
I finish this one over two days, I love Betty Neels stories it's not your modern day romance with alot of hot scenes but one that build the characters and the love even if the professor kiss the girl and she puts it down to him be lonely lol.
Damsel in Green is a sweet story but throws you head long into a story and it took me time to get my bearings. If you want a light read with a little romance then you may enjoy this one
This play spoke about women's liberation, loose morals, sexual diseases and the dark-side of the family life.
I found this play spoke on topics that for its time of writing surprising .Henrik Ibsen could see the ugly side to are nature and was not scared to show people. he also show what can happen when a man or a woman is unfaithful in their married how two siblings could meet and fall in love
This is my first time reading Ken Bruen and I have watch Jack Taylor tv show and enjoyed it alot. I loved this first book in the series The Guards and it gave a great background to Jack as a character. The only down fall I found was the murder took a back set and we got more information about Jack struggle with alcoholics, which in itself was an interesting read.
I read this book as part of a challenge I am taking part in this year, I love Greek poetry, and this is one I never came across before its perfect for children and also adults the illustrations were breathtaking and the text was easy to follow, I will be looking up the other translation done Rosemary♥️.
This was a lovely book to read and I found myself nodding along and agreeing with what the author had written or the illustrations that went with the chapter. This will be a book I am gone to buy and keep on my shelf, its perfect to read to a young child starting their reading journey and also one for the older read to bring back found memories of their own.
The story was well told and captured the Greek Tragedy at its finest the Solitude of the living alone and being exiled from the only family you know can make or break you. for the Heroine in the story this is actually a bless and she learned her craft and is able to out smart her family in the end.
The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu and their race to save the world's most precious Manuscript opens with the history of the manuscript for me it takes away all the misconceptions and also shows another side to the region and the people living there it also hints at how valuable these are and why they're so important to be kept safe. We also got to hear about the brave men and women who work together to save manuscripts from Al-Qaeda
I have always loved the classic Mysterious and Agatha Christie was the queen of them👸, This is her first book on Hercules Poirot and you can see she was still ironing out her ideas of him.I found it fascinating the way Poirot mind works and all his little quirks. I enjoyed this book very much and I hope to read all of Hercule Poirot books next year.
This was an interesting read with the feel of a Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie type mystery with a good puzzle to workout and kept me questions who I thought was behind the murders.
I did find it was made a little more complicated then it need to be and once the killer was unmasked, it was one of the least mentioned characters in the book, for me it ruined the storyline but that's just my take. It's well worth a read make your own mind up.
Interesting read would have loved to hear more from Chris but the history of the hermit has me wanting to know more
I really enjoy authors who like to take on a classics and give it there own stamp. Neil Gaiman does an amazing job of mix together Sir Author Conan Doyle and H.P. Lovercraft and which takes the reader on a fun ride with the stories mixing horror and mysterie together with cheeky salutes to Stevenson.
Great read so far, she writes how I thing very easy to follow😊🤣🤗🧖♀️
BOOK Three of my reread, Lover Awakended by J.R.Ward, Bella and Zsadist story is one of the hardest to read from the series it also touches on a basic insecurities and fears we all have, it took me a little longer then normal to read but I am glad I did
This is the second installment of the black dagger brotherhood,
Rhage is the wild child of the brothers but also one of the most sweetest. All Rhage wants is someone to love and take care of. Mary is alone in the world and needs any anchor.
Mary and Rhage are one of my favourite couples from the BDB books and to revisited their story remind me why I feel in love with books.
