Andrew65 Great review and agree. It had a bit of a feel of Fall of Giants. 4w

Day 3 - #MrBook1InAMillion #Readathon #LitsyPartyOfOne #24B4Monday

Today I‘m flying over the Atlantic from Southampton Uk to New York with Ken Follett and having a bowl of Peach Oatmeal. This oatmeal is so easy to make - 45 seconds in microwave and is so delicious. I like to add a little milk.

Gotta get back to my book! I am loving this novel! Follett is a wonderful storyteller!

Lynnsoprano It‘s a good one. That oatmeal looks really good. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen it the store. 1mo
EadieB @Lynnsoprano It‘s in the aisle with the individual fruit cups from DelMonte. I don‘t see it in the oatmeal aisle so you may want to check both places! 1mo
Lynnsoprano Thanks! 1mo

Andrew65 He does write a great story, has a feel of his Century Trilogy. (edited) 1mo
EadieB @Andrew65 Yes he does! I‘m getting a little anxious about this flight! 1mo
Andrew65 @EadieB A good attitude to have! 1mo
BethM That‘s nice- we don‘t have that in the US. 1mo
EadieB @BethM I‘m in the US! Are you speaking of the oatmeal? If so, check out the canned fruit aisle! 1mo
BethM I am- I‘ve never seen it! Maybe it‘s more regional then. 1mo
Kdgordon88 I‘m in Oregon and saw the oatmeal the other day. I am going back to get some since you‘ve given it a 👍🏼 1mo
EadieB @Kdgordon88 Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! 1mo

Started the November book in the #KenFollettBuddyRead which I am reading with @EadieB and @Tove_Reads
This is a #chunkster at 672 Pages. Sure it will be another great story by Ken Follett.

RachelAmphlett I love his books! 1mo
Andrew65 @RachelAmphlett He is a great author, don‘t think I‘ve ever been disappointed. 1mo
Crazeedi I have to see if I've ever read this one, not sure, but I think not 1mo

Tove_Reads Are you enjoying it? 1mo
Andrew65 Finished now and did enjoy it, quite different to some, very character driven. 1mo
Tove_Reads Yes, I enjoyed it as well, but it‘s not one of my faves. Was a bit slow in the beginning, building up to what it was all about was a bit too long for me. But, then again, many characters. In that way it felt like a Binchy 😂 1mo
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads I think I‘d agree with al, you‘ve said, good but not a favourite. 1mo

I‘m a bit late with this one, but here is my #WeeklyForecast. It may seem a lot of books, especially with being back at work but going into the week already part way through a Whitethorn Woods, Poirot Investigate, Mutiny on the Bounty. Also a few old books on here which are shorter books.

tpixie Amazing stats! 1mo
Andrew65 @tpixie Thanks, at least 50 books I want to get to by the end of the year. 1mo
tpixie Wow! Alastair McLean and Follet classics! 1mo

tpixie Actually all are!! 1mo
Andrew65 @tpixie Trying to complete my challenge where I read one book published every year over the last 100 years (1920 - 2019), it is getting me to some great classics. Still got 30 years to cover before the end of the year. 1mo
Cinfhen You‘re just a reading machine!!! 9 books is a huge number to tackle!!!! Good for you!!! How many books have you read this year?? 1mo
tpixie @Andrew65 awesome! Great luck! 🍀📚🍀 1mo
Andrew65 @Cinfhen So far Read 232 books and 97,422 pages this year. Was aiming for 100,000 Pages this year so I should easily make that total. That will certainly be my best year. Helped this week by some older smaller books. (edited) 1mo
Cinfhen Wowza!!!!! Fantastic 1mo

1939. The story takes place on the world‘s most luxurious airliner - the legendary Pan Am clipper- for its final flight from England to neutral America. All people aboard are fleeing the war for reason of their own, but danger is waiting for them..
Follett is a master at subplots driving together!

OriginalCyn620 Sounds good but it looks like a chunkster! Or it may be the camera angle...✈️ 5mo
Buechersuechtling I remember to have read that yeeeaaars ago but I can‘t tell the exact plot, for example the villain 🦹‍♂️, anymore. Only remember I liked it. Hope you enjoy. 🛩 🌑 🌊 5mo
La_Cori @OriginalCyn620 this edition is 600+ pages, it's a mass market paperback (a really small one!) But i remember I finished it in a few days.. 5mo
La_Cori @Buechersuechtling me too.. I can't remember the exact plot.. I remember just the trans-Atlantic crossing, lots of people and even more connections among them!! 5mo

I just love how Follet tells us a story. He ALWAYS get me involved!!! "'The opulent interior of the first airliner on a transatlantic flight from England to New York in war-darkened 1939 is the setting for Follett's high-flying caper, guaranteed to hold the reader in their seat... the master of epic suspense spins an excruciatingly taut drama, a whirlwind of romance and intrigue .. " Entertaining level: ????? #Persefone #2015Sha #DogsOfLitsy
