I was going to try to choose something else since another Litten already posted this trilogy for the “Don‘t Fear the Reaper” prompt for #LittensDressedInBlood, but then I remembered several of us chose Lestat for “Dead Man‘s Party” so who cares, right? 😅
Probably the best YA series I have EVER read and I usually can‘t stand YA, so that‘s a HUGE compliment! Seriously, if you haven‘t read them yet, do yourself a favor and do it NOW! ❤️😍❤️

jeannasser Yes!! 😊😊one of the best trilogies ever! The second book is God tier 3y
MidnightBookGirl I also thought of this, but just picked a different book. I love a good grim reaper novel! 3y

Citra and Rowan are teenagers who have been selected to be scythe apprentices, and despite wanting nothing to do with the vocation they must learn the art of killing and come to understand the necessity of what they do. Who will win the competition and who will be gleaned (murdered by the winner)? I really liked the trilogy

This was q fun series. Not the best ever but a fun read with a different kinda story. It has some slow parts the first book is the best for me and the last one took a bit to get though.

📚 yes, good escape books
📖 can‘t think of one
🤔 I usually don‘t seek out dystopian. I read the tagged because I do like the author, Neal Shusterman!

It‘s been awhile Litsy! I‘ve just finished the Arc of a Scythe series and I really enjoyed it! Was it the greatest sci-fi? No. But it was still very enjoyable. The last one was def my favorite. It got very intense towards the end and I have very strong feelings. Lmk if you‘ve read this so we can talk in the comments!!

fleeting "Was it a great sci-fi? No." ? 4y
fleeting *the greatest. I'm going to read the trilogy so I'm hoping for the best! I've heard good reviews! 4y
OnlyYoo I really enjoyed the storyline. I wish some things were fleshed out more but that could also be me being nit picky. Definitely 3.5-4/5 series for me 4y

I really wanted to love this and the first book started strong. Who doesn't love a a dystopian society controlled by a super computer who randomly orders the extermination of individuals to control the population. A YA version of The Purge. Then the is other side of political corruption and conspiracies that keeps you glued. However too many subplots and characters veers off into a Game of Thrones disappointing finale. Very so so.

Crystalblu That is exactly what my co-worker said. Looks like i'll skip it 😋 4y
