Good and love the narrator.
Every bit as good as the first two books in the series and I raced through this one just as fast as those two. Great setting, memorable characters, plenty of crime with lots of twists and turns before you get to the solution, and fantastic writing are what you want in any book and this series has all of it and more. I don‘t know how I missed this series when it first came out but I‘m definitely making up for lost time now. Great read!
As I get ready to start the third book in the series, I think it‘s fairy to say I‘m hooked.
Book 3 of the series of 20. I like how the characters are developing. They are simple stories in a way but entirely enjoyable. I thought this one had enough twists and turns to be captivating. I like the mixture of story elements and the northern Minnesota location. Will keep reading the series.
Book 3 in the Cork O‘Connor series. Intricate setting, characters and plot-great storytelling. Cork and Jo are back together, but are faced with danger. Jo and little Stevie have been kidnapped…

A solid entry into the series but just wasn't my fave.
I actually saw the ending coming and that rarely happens. Overall, it is just a solid entry but nothing to write home about.
I am going to continue with this series and can't wait to see what Cork gets up to next!
Couldn‘t choose which book to read next so ended up reading four (as you do…) 😂
I‘m ambivalent about this one. It wasn‘t bad, but it‘s definitely not my favorite Cork O‘Connor novel. That may have more to do with the fact that I just don‘t like hostage stories than it has to do with the quality of the book. It was tense all the way through. I‘m giving it a pick because I was interested enough to finish it. #audiowalk
I did not know going into this that, along with ecoterrorism, this was also partly a hostage story. I hate hostage stories; I worry too much about the hostages and the lack of control they have over what is happening to them. It rained all day here, but stopped in time for me to get in a decent walk. #audiowalk
This is an ecoterrorism story set against the Minnesota lakes and lumbering operations there. You can‘t tell it very well from this pic, but the one at the top right is of a pretty little waterfall that I never noticed before. #audiowalk
Cork and his wife, Jo, need to talk to each other. Neither is a mind reader! This kind of thing drives me nuts. It was chilly out there today, and the wind made it even colder. #audiowalk
I chose the 3rd in the Cork O‘Connor novels to be my new walking book. I just felt like staying in that world. It‘s supposed to start getting cold again this weekend, so it was nice to walk in shorts while I still can. #audiowalk
So happy to finally have started this series! Now on to book three. Even better, he‘s coming out with a new book this year. Love it!
Book 3 in the Cork O‘Connor mystery series. These just keep getting better and better.
I enjoyed this (can Krueger write a bad book? I doubt it), and am looking forward to reading the next book when it‘s available from my library.
Finally, picked up this book to read. It is an advanced copy, an advanced personalized *signed* copy from 2001 that is borrowed from my friend, Ann. It may be too nice of a book to read. 😳 Must keep away from the kids and cats.
Who can say what Kitchimanidoo is all about? We see little and understand less.
He thought often these days of the words that ended the traditional marriage ceremony of the Anishinaabeg. You share the same fire. You will hang your garments together. You will help one another. You will walk the same trail. You will look after one another. Be kind to one another. Be kind to your children.
