TorieStorieS @Ladygodiva7 I am having so much fun with this #SweetValleyReRead! I started this project last year with the Kids series and am only (finally!) to the high school ones! It‘s been such a joy though! 3w
JenlovesJT47 I think I‘m going to have a mini marathon in the next week or two and see how fast I can get through the Kids and Twins series. I really can‘t wait to get to SVU and we should definitely buddy read when you get to that point. You‘re flying through! I read SVH slowly over 6-7 years. But I love these books. Been having such a hard time concentrating on reading lately and focusing on these for a bit might help. 3w
JenlovesJT47 And! I unashamedly adore the character of Bruce Patman, warts and all. He‘s an asshole who‘s pretty consistently an asshole with flashes of humanity here and there. My favorite Bruce is in the Death Valley miniseries. I read those two books over and over again, loved the adventure/danger aspect even though it made zero sense to me why they didn‘t have an adult with them. I‘m imaging my 16-year-old nephew hiking alone in Death Valley. Not pretty! 3w
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 Well, nothing ends a reading slump like Sweet Valley! I don‘t feel like I‘m flying through since I‘ve been at this for 18 months! But I‘m really enjoying it! And definitely up for an SVU buddy read if you give me time to get through SVH! Oh and the senior year ones!! Most of those will be new to me! 3w
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I am right with you on 1Bruce1 forever!! I love him… even though he‘s a real creeper in these early books! They soften him up and I always loved him in the secret diaries too!! Plus he‘s great in the SVU books, too! He gets to be poor!! 🤣 And definitely there‘s not much parenting or supervision in the series!! I don‘t want to think about any 16 year olds in any of these circumstances in real life!! 3w
