My first read by this duo. It kept my attention and had me trying to figure out where the many feet on the beach had originated from .

This was a thrill ride, albeit one the stretched the imagination a tad. Preston Ed& Child seldom disappoint.

Over a hundred severed feet, in unique but identical shoes have washed up on the Captiva Island beach. Aloysius Pendergast, Constance Green and Armstrong Coldmoon reunite to investigate. You can guess the rest.

I marked it a pick because when you need a Pendergast thrill nothing else will do, but the earlier novels are better.

Book #19 in the Agent Pendergast series. This was an entertaining mystery. Agent Coldmoon makes a reappearance and Constance Greene‘s character has her own mystery to solve. I would say this one had less of Pendergast‘s unique ability to solve a case and more involvement from everyone else. I hope for more books in the series.

🎧 I liked the mystery. I like Constance & Special Agent Cold Moon. I hope to see more of them and get some character development. I‘m hoping they keep the three of them platonic friends. I like Pendergast being the Sherlock as I find him a bit pretentious with all of his talk of esoteric food/drink & designer $$ concerns. New narrator wasn‘t horrible. It kept my attention which is amazing of late. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️2/3

Although I was sad to hear that the narrator of the previous 18 books in the series, Rene Auberjonois, passed away last year, I am very happy with the replacement, Jefferson Mays, who also read the Expanse series.

This was a typical Pendergast novel, with more Pendergast and his no-f***s given attitude than in #18 and not too heavy on the disbelieable events.

Book 42/100

Another good one in the Pendergast Series. A starting crime with dozens of victims. A ghastly enigma with no apparent solution. A worthy challenge for a brilliant mind.
