⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ K.L. Montgomery is a new author to me and now one of my favorite Cozy Mystery writers. In this 3 book boxed set, we meet Sunshine who is the YA librarian in Bryce Beach. Sunshine becomes a sleuth who helps the local police solve crimes. The characters in these books are lovable and the books so much fun to read. I already have Book 4 on my Kindle ready to be read.

A beautiful historical fiction book about Rachel. She contracts leprosy as a child an is exiled to Moloka‘i. Rachel finds friends and family along the way as she grows on this island. I knew nothing of Hawaii nor the leprosy colonies until reading this book. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story of the shocking murders of Shanann, Bella, Celeste and Nico Watts. The author does a good job of giving us background information on everyone involved. Parts of this book were very hard to read because I cannot imagine this happening to my children or grandchildren. So much senseless loss.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book begins with the death of two teenage boys. It tells the story of those left behind and how they deal with what has happened. It is a wonderful story of forgiveness. I love how the author told the story through the different characters. She used Rufus, the dog, to reach her readers as well. Rufus was an amazing character.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of my all time favorite books!!! We follow two time lines. One follows an Apothecary in the 1800s. The other one follows a woman on her 10th anniversary trip as she discovers The Lost Apothecary.

This book is so beautifully written. I loved every single minute I spent reading it.

I was struggling with the audiobook so I went back and began the book over in Kindle. This did not help so I ended up going back to the audiobook. I just could never get into this book. Not exactly sure why. I just never felt invested. I would not have finished for if it had not been for this being buddy read. I have to start DNFing a book of I am struggling like this.

fredamans Up till now I thought that I was the only one that didn't get into this one like everyone else did. I read her other book, The Singer's Gun and thought it was waaaaaaaaaay better than this one. I hope you give it a try. Totally different premise from this and a book I devoured. 4y
paulareadsallthetime I am glad to find someone who felt the same way too. All of the others i. My buddy read seemed to like it a lot. I will add the other book to my TBR. 4y
gilroyc Yes, I felt the same. Couldn't really get into it. Some of the writing style she used just felt ... off and it felt incomplete, like the storyline had more to do when she just stopped. (edited) 3y
