1. Cubans celebrate Noche Buena. My husband isn‘t Cuban & he celebrates on the 25TH so we sort of combined them. Growing up we would have a huge Cuban feast & open gifts at midnight. Now, we watch Christmas movies & have a small dinner just for us. We decorate cookies & open one gift each.

11. This year we‘re hosting dinner for extended family & friends: lechon asada (pork), rice & beans, ham, turkey, & other sides.

Oh, I liked this one. It's the story of how Cubans in Florida celebrate Christmas and while I'm not Cuban, our traditions are very similar. It's really nice to see a book about Noche Buena 😊😊 The art is meh, but that's okay because the story gives me a sense of nostalgia #tmskellington #wintergames #holidayread

When a young girl arrives is Little Havana in Miami to spend Christmas with her dad‘s family, she‘s feeling sad to miss out on Christmas in the north with snow.

But soon she‘s swept up in the preparations for the celebration on Christmas Eve, and between aunts, uncles, cousins and community she‘s soon feeling at home again and wanting to share these traditions with family up north.
