Have to share - because you are all my friends - that my daughter (in blue hat) announced last week that she is running for a seat in the Vermont House. She is a racial equity organizer and a social worker/therapist. I wish my mother were alive to witness this. Our family‘s political activism started long ago, but mainly behind the scenes making phone calls (my mom for Kennedy), door knocking, data entry for years (me). Kate is the 1st to run.

Suet624 @BarbaraBB It's a very progressive state and was the first state in the US to approve civil unions. However, the four towns she would represent are more remote (in the woods) and have a variety of opinions about the issue. I am concerned because In this day and age everyone everywhere feels entitled to intimidate just for the fun of it. My daughter doesn't seem concerned about it though. 4y
