Finally finished this reread! It took me a really long time but I enjoyed it. I noticed convenient plot resolutions and infodumps much more than I did 12 years ago when I read it first. But it this time around I actually liked the ending, it made sense. The part I liked 12 years ago I still liked a lot. I am now ready to read Murtagh, which I bought last November omg. Excited for the continuing story and curious to see the author‘s growth.

"Inheritance" by Christopher Paolini is a rollercoaster ride of dragons, magic, and epic battles! It's like a grand feast for fantasy lovers, with every page bursting with adventure. Eragon and Saphira's final journey is packed with enough twists to make a pretzel jealous. I loved diving in for a fantastical adventure that‘s as exciting as flying on a dragon! ?✨

11 May-25 Jun 23 (audiobook)
And we are through! This was a long haul but we enjoyed it and the audio format does make it easier to keep up momentum, particularly when school and most activities are a 30 minute commute away.
I was satisfied with the way Paolini finished the series, although I can understand why some readers were disappointed. It was interesting to listen to the interview at the end - he was so young when he commenced writing.

This will be my #bookspin for April. Looking forward to reading this fantastic series. (I think the Pioneer Woman is eye balling my book...😁😁😁)

persephone1408 I read the first one years ago. It was so good. If I ever have time I'm gonna get back to it. 3y

When I was a kid, these books were my life. Now, as an adult, I see their flaws. There‘s good stuff here, but it‘s all very formulaic and conventional. There‘s also a lot of pulled punches in terms of plot points (Arya, Galbatorix, the ending) which made the book overall feel underwhelming.

For a final book and a supposedly big important battle it was a bit disappointing. Still the series as a whole is pretty good.

This book made me feel so stressed as the final battle approached, I genuinely felt amazed at how events transpired. Seeing the clear difference in character development from the start of the series to the end of it, the fulfilled character arcs were satisfying in their entirety, except for that one part.... I was genuinely sad to have to finish this book and leave the world of Alegaesia that Christopher Paolini created. Having a signed copy helps

I had forgotten that I had read this book until Mr. Book asked the question, if there is a book you would have rewrite the ending to what book is it and how would it change? Well this is my book. Another series that I liked and fell of the deep end. I would have made four other books and enhance the love stories. I know Mr. Paolini was young when he wrote the series so I excuse him for that but I think now that he is grown he should get on it.
