Bailedbailed

Read halfway and put down. Too much for me. This is like the 3rd book I've gone halfway and quit. I usually don't do this. What's that all about?

I generally struggle with the decision to DNF, so I have a few selections that qualify for #didntlikestillfinished. These are from the last 6 months or so. I'm always hoping a book will redeem itself. #marchintoreading @RealLifeReading

drokka I struggled with a different David Liss book. If it hadn't been a book group read I reckon it would have been my first DNF. However it did make my #threwitacrosstheroom list. 7y

Pickpick

I was talking to a friend about the Industrial Revolution (like you do) and remembered this weird and wonderful book. Characters include William Blake and Lord Byron, and there are witches and magic. Also a somewhat Austenesque plot and protagonist. And history. Not for everybody, but def for me.

MrBook You talked me into it! You just had to start with the Industrial Revolution. https://youtu.be/TV2em3YsNtk 8y
Imagineannie @MrBook :-) let me know if you read it. It's...eccentric. But you'll get your fill of Luddism. 8y
Mayread Is that a Blake illustration? It has the terrifying quality I associate with his work. 8y
