I used to read a lot of detective novels like this one, but it‘s been a long time. Here‘s Detective Inspector Sean Duffy, taking his last full time case, searching for a 15 year old girl who has disappeared. This is the seventh book in this series, and he‘s quite the character: funny, smart, tenacious. Kept me guessing till the end. Northern Ireland will really miss him!

Can he survive one last case before getting himself and his family out over the water? The writing of this book is well done with plenty of humor. Sean has moved his family to Scotland and will commute.

EadieB He'll take the ferry over and work 7 days a month in order to retire at 20 years with benefits. The plot is clever with terrific characters. If you like humor and wit with your mystery thriller then you will love this book. I'm now looking forward to the next Sean Duffy book. I hope we don't have to wait 6 years for that one!
