This book is just as awesome as the first one. Julian is headed to a wedding and they are in the procession with Marisol. Once the wedding is over and the party starts, it‘s time to play. Marisol gets their dress dirty and Julian helps make a new one from the vines of a weeping willow. This book is just perfect. It‘s inclusive, it breathtaking, and so full of love and acceptance. Please write more of these. Please.

I‘ve been keen to read this since I saw it in the good reads choice awards - and the library finally came through! It‘s beautiful! And it contains double the Nana‘s- so I think it‘s going to be good!

Julian and his abuela are back in this second installment by Jessica Love. The story is as cute as I expected and the illustrations were lovely and lively. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jessica Love writes and illustrates beautiful inclusive books. I will probably buy every one she ever writes. This one is a real joy. I want to be at this wedding. I especially love her drawings of the grandmothers. I can almost hear them gossiping and laughing as they eat their wedding cake.
