Teen mystery set in 1938. Kate goes to live with her retired movie star grandfather in Pasadena and gets involved in both a movie and a murder. I loved that the main character is smart and wants to be an astronomer.

1930s Hollywood. Kate goes to live with her silent picture star Grandfather who she doesn‘t know, and is suddenly also thrown in with his assorted eccentric boarders. Teri Bailey Black name drops celebrities, references dance teams like Astaire and Rogers, and wraps everything around a mystery making this a joy to read for me. I loved the time period, the characters were well developed, and I can‘t wait to see what she writes next. 🥰

A YA murder mystery set in 1930s Hollywood. I enjoyed the old Hollywood setting and the fun cast of characters.

While I didn‘t love this one quite as much as her first book, it was still fantastic. Set in old Hollywood with some murder mystery and a tiny bit of romance thrown in. I had the killer figured out pretty early, but couldn‘t figure out the motive until the end. Highly recommend! I‘m using this for #setinhollywood for #booked2020
