I needed a book with a chronic illness in it, but I did not want to read a really sad one. I found this one through Google and really enjoyed it.
The plot of this one was unique, and involves really sweet friendships.

I don't have enough words to describe how phenomenal this book is! One of my favorite YA books of the year so far! Deals with chronic illnesses with grace, compassion, and also humor. Also, yes there's a werewolf! 😂 Plus the dialogue between the characters is hilarious and absolutely perfect! I love this book with all my heart!

Also dinner at my fave local restaurant! Mmmm! #bookndinner

DinoMom This sounds interesting. Stacked ! 3y
LiteraryinLawrence Thanks for putting this on my radar! 3y

I really needed this right now. The idea of a multiverse where maybe you're living a better life if only you did this or that differently--I've spent too much time caught up on that myself. Sometimes things happen in life that leave you feeling changed and hopeless and maybe you distract yourself with someone else's problems but also maybe it's okay to be kind to yourself and make the steps you can. You can still be happy.

the message is chronic illness can feel like it takes over your life, that one feels out of control of their own body. And in all that anger you see the people that care for you most and that you can survive it, & live without your chronic illness totally controlling you.

But the sections with group chat was annoying, and I haven‘t seen books wi specified technology included fair well with age. 🤔🧐

I just finished reading this book because I wanted my review done before it‘s publish date and as part of a reading challenge I‘m taking part in right now.
This book is so good, Priya and Brigid are friendship goals and I adored them. This book was equal parts hilarious and devastating, it gets real about the difficulties of life with chronic illness.
Such a good book.

Lycanthropy and Chronic Illnesses felt a bit like getting a warm hug and that was exactly what I hoped it would be. I closed out 2020 with one last five star read and I am very grateful for that! Whether it‘s solace or laughter you seek, this book is sure to satisfy!

MommyWantsToReadHerBook You make me really want to read this! Or maybe it's just that I sonehow like books with medical stuff happening. 3y

Aw, I feel that way about my husband, too!

“Of course, book club, where they drink wine coolers and talk about women‘s fiction. My father is the only man in the group, but he doesn‘t seem to notice.” ~Kristen O‘Neal/Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses

Oh, just like my husband! Except we don‘t drink wine coolers in book club and we‘ve discussed more than just women‘s fiction.

At least he‘s not the only male AND a vampire, like another book club I read about this year. 🙂😉

When they say something a little stupid when they introduce themselves, or make a joke about an obscure interest you have, too, or ask you a question so thoughtful it tilts the axis of your world, just a little. ⬇️

The moment I saw the title on this book, I knew I needed it! I didn‘t even need to read the synopsis, although it does sound really good! I decided to preorder it and started counting down the days until its release on January 12, 2021. Do you know what happened? They changed the publication date to the end of April! 😭 Sure, I could have held on, but now I don‘t have to! I‘m so thankful for the kindness of a friend who passed this ARC on to me!
