so-soThe only reason I picked up this book is because the author is the developer of NationStates, an online simulator I play 😂 Anyway, It‘s a thriller story about parallel dimensions which is a pretty unique premise. I liked the characters too but the writing style didn‘t really engage me. Idk why. Maybe because it‘s not very descriptive? Anyway, it‘s a decent novel but I didn‘t find it particularly immersive.
pickThis was a twisty turny mystery/thriller. Journalist Felicity covers the murder of Madison May & gets a little too close to the investigation. She ends up in a parallel universe where Maddie gets killed again, before Felicity is in another same but different world. She resolves to get to the bottom of her travels & save Madison from her serial killer. This was an interesting premise & I liked how it switched between the povs of Felicity & Maddie

pick4.5🌟 This was an excellent story with perfect pacing and a few twists and turns that were surprising. I'm a huge fan of Blake Crouch's Dark Matter and Recursion, and this felt similar in style. Like that, with a blend of Criminal Minds.
pickThe writing fell a little flat for me in this one, but loved the idea of the story. Jumping to "parallel worlds" and not being able to return made me feel a bit claustrophobic but was happy how things worked out for the characters.
so-soA murderer, a reporter, an actress and a guardian angel travel through time, meeting each other in different worlds. Lots of hype about this book, and I liked the story, but I felt like the characters were one-dimensional. You might see this one on tv sometime!
