A murder at a boarding school is gruesome enough, but what if the murderer is your roommate? Perfect for fans of A Study in Charlotte comes a gripping prep school novel filled with dark mystery and suspense. What if your best friend and roommate killed a teacher at your prep school? Or what if he didn't do it, but he's being framed, and you're the only person who can save him? What if you aren't sure which it is? Luke Chase didn't mean to get caught up solving the mystery of Mrs. Heckler's murder. He just wanted to meet up with the new British girl at their boarding school, and if that meant sneaking out to the woods after hours, then so be it. Little did he know someone would end up dead right next to their rendezvous spot, and his best friend and roommate Oscar Weymouth would go down for it. With suspects aplenty and a past that's anything but innocent, Luke Chase calls on his famous survival skills to solve the mystery and find the true killer. With plenty of suspects, Luke will need to use all his skills to solve the mystery and find the true killer. October is approaching, which means #scarathlon, and I can't wait! I started pulling some possibilities - not sure if they'll all fit thematically. I have 21 physicals so far (I won't get to all of them of course). I haven't looked at my kindle or my audible, but i know I'll have at least as many from them. I'm so excited! Anybody remember that really old commercial of the lady standing outside a store saying "open open open"? That's me. ?‍♀️

Emilymdxn This is so relatable I have been organising kindle books for scarathlon since august 🥲 1y
Traci1 @Emilymdxn I need to create a folder for mine. I think you can do that on kindle? 1y
Clwojick Pretty Girls is DARK, but good! It was one of the first audiobooks I ever listened to, and I almost peed my pants lol Read the triggers first though, if that‘s something can could be an issue. 🫣 (edited) 1y

So cute! I enjoyed this one AND didn't see the “twist.“ I had a couple of guesses; the right answer was correct, but the way it was the right answer didn't occur to me. And it wasn't my “final answer“ guess.

Thanks again @AkashaVampie

Also, I agree getting offline can be so liberating!

AkashaVampie Awesome sweetie. Glad u liked it. 1y

Started it yesterday when getting my car serviced.

I gripping YA Murder story, set in a boarding school, Lake and Oscar sneak out to meet two girls, but the wife of a teacher is found dead. Luke's friend becomes a suspect so he must investigate to prove his friend's innocence. I really enjoyed it, it had vibes of the Truly Devious mystery for me.
