This is a rom-com told entirely from the perspective of Doug the pug. I LOVE the dog and everything about all of his scenes. He‘s the best part of the story! However, the main character is a bit of a hot mess: she‘s unapologetically in a relationship with a married man for a chunk of the book and struggles with her self-worth. Doug is the one that decides she needs to dump her awful boyfriend and find someone better. His matchmaking made me smile.
