An #unpopularopinion, but I didn‘t enjoy this book as much as I thought I was going to. The plot was ripe for some #guiltypleasure #romcom action, but I just found myself bored for the majority of the book. Most of the time, the two main characters would meet on weekends and just do the routine every time. It dragged on for me. I also found the female main character to be obsessively insecure with her looks. The Proposal was much better.

OnlyYoo The communication in this book was just so bad 2d

Female undertaker, Nina, opens shop in a posh neighbourhood in London, which results in a lot of problems with the neighbours.

It's supposed to be a #romcom, but I don't think it's very funny. The twist with the lady undertaker as MC makes it a solid 3 star romance, though.

Used to be an #ARC

I was excited about this book and Cletus' story but all the blackmailing left me uneasy. Why, oh way, do I fret over fictional characters and some of the choices they make? Gaa! LOL

My first ever Harlequin series romance; I'm like an official citizen of Romancelandia! This didn't have as much Halloween as I had hoped, but it was a lot of fun. Super spicy though.

I had great fun meeting Teri Wilson & listening to her read from The Accidental Beauty Queen. Her #Hallmark movie Northern Lights of Christmas is showing again on Movies & Mysteries this week so I‘m off to DVR in a minute. #romantsy #romcom

It is September 8th and I have finished ONE book. And I don‘t even really have another in progress other than my audiobook. Yikes!! I need to find something good to read quick. I have tried starting a few but nothing has really sucked me in.

BarbaraBB Have you read this one? I read it recently and literally flew through it! 3mo
MelissaSue81 @BarbaraBB - yes. Read it last year. Super fun read! I think I‘m in the mood for something like that but most of my current TBR stack is more serious/literary. 3mo
charl08 I love that you have a chart for your books like this. Maybe I need to put mine in excel? 🤔 3mo

RenePenn This was a fun #RomCom if you are in the mood for something light 3mo
MelissaSue81 @charl08 - I am certain that I downloaded this sheet (its a google sheet but you could export it to excel, but I like that I can access it anywhere) from BookRiot at the beginning of the year, but I CANNOT for the life of me find the link to it anymore! Its driving me crazy! Maybe they'll post a new one for next year?

Its got tabs for the graphs and also tracking several challenges.

MelissaSue81 @charl08 - So I even went back to where I had shared the link to it on my FB and the link says Page Not Found so they must have taken it down. Weird.

charl08 Thanks for trying! 3mo

I was expecting a #romcom from the title and cover but it wasn‘t that kind of a story. It was more serious and a look at dating with trust issues and the #metoo movement. Good stuff but I‘m ready for some laughs now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #romantsy

CarolynM Just saw this on the romance shelf at the book shop. Maybe someone should tell them. I wonder why they went for such a fluffy looking cover? (edited) 3mo
Christy2318 @ Well it is romance but definitely not the fluffy rom com that the cover suggested. It‘s kind of a spin off from her Forbidden Hearts series that had clinchy paperback covers. I guess the move to trade paperback made them feel they had to go fluffy cover wise? 3mo
essayareayaitch I've only read her Forbidden Hearts series prior to this, but I feel that heavy is kind of the author's thing. 3mo
