Pickpick

Finished both the prophecy con and this this week, although it took longer than I would have liked. I enjoyed both of them, although not to the degree of the first one. There was plenty of snark and banter which is always fun, some new characters to love and plenty of character growth for all members of the team, but the ending of the trilogy left me a bit disappointed. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed them.

Pickpick

I love this trilogy, and this book was the perfect ending for it. This whole trilogy is my pick for #UnderdogHero for #booked2018 Seasonal Challenge - a ragtag group of disgraced ex-military, thieves, fae creatures, talking ancient weapons, etc. have to save themselves and the world (a couple of times!) and it‘s SO MUCH FUN!!

Cinfhen Love the graphics ❤️and what a fabulous fun choice. Here‘s another #suggestion @Reviewsbylola 6y
bookwrm526 @Cinfhen these and other animals are carved into stumps and fallen logs all along a walking trail near my house! @Reviewsbylola the first one in the trilogy is 6y

Went to pick up most (three more en route) of the books I'd ordered prior to my book buying ban. #bookhaul

DGRachel Matterhorn was so good. Gut wrenching, but good. 7y
LeahBergen Nice! I have several orders coming in and now I'm on a ban, too. 😬 7y
LauraBrook I'm on a ban too! Should be getting a few in the mail tomorrow (and still waiting for this months BOTM order), but aside from that and whatever might pop up on PaperBackSwap, I'm trying to make this a No Buy July. 7y
drokka @DGRachel I've heard the same thing from others who have read it. The Vietnam War doesn't actually interest me, but with so many positive experiences I'm going to give it a go. 7y
drokka @LeahBergen @LauraBrook Book bans, I think are a necessary evil, but I just can't afford it. It's killing me, but I think that once Sept hits (my self-imposed van is for July and August), I'm still going to have to be very selective as there will still be austerity measures in place. I'm hoping to find a. Ew home near a library. 7y
