12 posts | 12 read | 1 to read
This two-in-one romance starts a new series that Mallerys many fans will devour like a Christmas cookie.Booklist Susan Mallery, author of the Fools Gold romances, cheerfully invites you to Wishing Tree, where Christmas comes to life The Somerville sisters believe in love, but theyve lost faith it will happen for them. Reggie hasnt been home since the end of the worlds shortest engagement. When her parents decide to renew their vows, she buffs up her twinkle to help with the Christmas wedding. Unexpectedly, Toby, her first love, is back too, and the spark between them shines as brightly as ever. In the spirit of the season, will they let go of past hurts and greet the New Year together? Done waiting for the one, Dena is pregnant and on her ownon purpose. But then a gorgeous, sad-eyed songwriter checks in to a room at her inn. Micah, unable to write since he lost his wife, finds inspiration in Denas determination to be a mom. One snowflake-speckled kiss and hes a goner. But Dena is afraid to believe that a rock star could fall for a cookie-cutter small-town girl like her. As the Christmas wedding draws closer, these two sisters just might unwrap the most treasured gift of alllove.

My goal is to try and actually keep up with the daily photo challenge and ornament hunt. I start off strong and fall off, but not this time! 🤞🏼
Day 1: red cover (well, red ON the cover) and ornament that sparkles ✨

A story about love, family and Christmas… just what I want to immerse myself in during the holidays!

Two sisters, Dena and Reggie both believe in love but have yet to find it. Introducing a famous rock star and an ex boyfriend from high school. Will the sisters get their happy ending?
Several other storylines are featured in this book and it really makes you feel all festive reading about the towns festivities. Hysterical escapes of two fur babies really make this book a cosy, charming read but it does touch on some sensitive issues too.

Book 4 of 5 completed. Only one to go!

It dragged a bit, probably due to the many different plot lines.

Still cute, but I would have preferred a story focusing on one of the two couples.

Low pick.

Final finished book of 2021! Glad it wasn‘t super Christmasy, as I‘m kind of over the holiday romances right now. More women‘s fiction than romance it had plenty of feels.

What happens when two sisters (the older pregnant, the younger getting over a bad break up) meet two guys (one a rockstar and the other a high school love)? Romance, I suppose.

I know I‘m a fan of easy romances, but I‘m getting a little frustrated with the lack of diversity in these books. I‘ve got one more drugstore paperback to read before moving on to my non-Christmassy tbr.

HollyBolly I've also been disappointed trying the find different generes of christmas books. 2y

Right up front let me tell you that I LOVE BELLE! This charmingly shy 120-lb Great Dane steals the spotlight throughout the entire book. Her immediate attachment to Toby‘s son Harrison will melt your heart, and her fear of 22-lb dachshund Burt is hilarious.
There is a lot going on in this book - two romances, Reggie and Dena‘s parents renewing their vows, mentions of domestic abuse, and the challenges of being a single parent.
