The Second book of the Dollanganger series. This one is more a revenge story. Some parts are difficult to read but definitely worth a read. But may not be for everyone

Book 16 of 2021.
I read the first book in 2014 and always wondered what happens next. Finally going to read the series.
Second in the series this book picks up immediately after the ending of Flowers in the Attic and its wild!
This series is a real product of its time, its bursting with drama and damsels in distress and anything taboo is thrown into these pages and im here for it!
Three stars, enjoyed it but the language and feel is very YA which isnt really my jam.
Not my favorite book in the series. I didn't like how Cathy was portrayed as a woman who doesn't learn her lesson when it comes to the men in her life. Also, Christopher started to get on my nerves. He doesn't even try to move on and find someone else who will love him. And Julian...forget about him!

After finishing Flowers in the Attic last night I wasn‘t certain I was going to get the next in the series, but I thought I‘d check out the local thrift store to see if they had it. Turns out they had about 80 of her different books. There were 2 other people trying to find certain books to finish their collection, so I gave in and picked some up. At 5/$4, I got the rest of the Dollanganger series, and the 1st of a few other series. #VCAndrews
Much better than the first. I actually didn't want to out this one down. I am ... I don't understand what else there would be to tell but I guess I'll find out when I pick up the next one.
revisiting this book simply because I love VC Andrews.
